The Institution was established in the year 1986 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh as the Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhopal. In 1998 the Government of Madhya Pradesh declared this institute autonomous and named it as Bhopal Engineering College. This Institution was declared a constituent college of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (Technological University of the State of Madhya Pradesh) w.e.f. from July 2002 by an order of Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. Established in the year 1998, by Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Act 13, 1998. Over a sprawling Campus of about 247 acres, the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya is marching towards development into a center of excellence in the arena of Technical Education, Research and Innovations. Under its umbrella there are 05 UTD's , 200 affiliated Engineering Colleges, 98 Pharmacy Colleges, 95 MCA Colleges and 04 Architecture Colleges imparting Graduate level instructions running around 17 under graduate level courses, 57 Polytechnic institutions offering diploma courses.more.. University Quiz Contest "INQUIZITIVE" The Great Mind Challenge Competition RGPV has not authorized any KIOSK/Cyber Cafe to offer university services on behalf of the RGPV University. "Please do not go and pay any extra charges to any KIOSK or cyber café" or any individual to avail the services of RGPV portal as  neither RGPV nor Banks charge any Additional Transaction Fee to do the online payments on the portal. Student Himself / Parents / Guardian / Institution are only allowed to do the student registration and online fee payments on the portal. For safe transactions and to save money, always try to access the portal from Internet connectivity available at your Institute, at Home or at known places. It is recommended that you do not share your internet banking account information and related credentials (username or password) with any internet café or individual In case of transaction failure, do not make another transaction, register your complaint at the Help Centre and wait for response. All students must verify that your personal Email ID and Mobile numbers are entered in the portal Registration Form.
